Les élections

Bonjour,

This morning, it was election day in our class. Your child was to promote a new mascot to represent our school. The Grade 4's were invited to come in and listen to their speech. Afterwards, they had a chance to vote.

Here are some pics.

We had a tie. Desneiges & Max won!

Merci les amis!

Bon week-end!

Projects

Dear Parents,

Here are the WONDERFUL 'ÉCO' house that your child designed and created with his/her classmates. Your child worked very hard to accomplish the project. They also recorded themselves using the program :'Do Ink'. Have your child tell you what he/she needed to do. It was fun!

CLEANING THE CAPITAL! MERCI LES AMIS!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you are giving me this year as the year end is fast approaching. We are still working hard and expanding our French language. Your child is encouraged to always speak French to me and his/her classmates. The students are more and more comfortable in speaking French in class and I am very PROUD!

Sincerely,

Mme Mathieu

Goal for the month of May.

Dear Parents,

Here is the goal for the month of May. Since we are using Google Drive as a tool in class, this month, at any time during the month, your child is responsible to read the following story by using the program ‘Read & Write’. Your child needs to copy and paste onto another page (google document). The title needs to be your child’s name. The program (tool) has been thoroughly explained in class. Just a friendly reminder to add the extension of read & write to your Google Drive tools bar. It’s free! Here is a tutorial to help you add the extension of Read & Write:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaxxeWnlBdk

Your child needs to share the recording of his/her reading with me in order for me to monitor my students’ reading fluency. Here is my email address: france.mathieu@ocsb.ca

I suggest that your child reads the story more than once before recording for his/her final evaluation.

Your child needs to:
-articulate the words
-read with expression
-read at a reasonable pace

Thank you for your continued support in helping your child succeed in learning a second and for some a third language.

Mme Mathieu
